Meet Bre Fisher, Instructional Designer and Developer

Having grown up with two siblings with Down syndrome, I became an educator and advocate at a young age. My whole life involved finding creative solutions to help my siblings learn what they needed for play, hygiene, dress, and other daily tasks. This creative problem solving allows me to help others access the knowledge they need through e-learning development and instructional design for adult learners.
I believe even the most complex information can be made accessible to any learner, and that learning is only meaningful when it leads to application. By combining AI tools with proven adult‑learning methods, and a healthy dose of fun, we can transform training into an engaging, impactful experience.

I am well‑versed in instructional design frameworks such as ADDIE and SAM and apply them as appropriate to the unique needs of each project and organization, rather than adhering rigidly to a single process. This flexible approach allows me to align design and development strategies with project scope, timelines, and learner requirements.
In my learning methodology, I draw upon Gagné’s Nine Events of Instruction to structure effective learning experiences and apply the Kirkpatrick Model for evaluating outcomes and measuring performance impact across multiple levels.

Yes, I use AI.
What started as a tool for neat tricks (hello AI Avatars!) has quickly become a tool I depend on daily for design and development. My core philosophy around AI is to use it intentionally and responsibly, and always as a starting point not a destination.
A few key ways I use AI:
-
First and foremost: ACCESSIBILITY. AI tools for audio narration, language translations, transcript generation, and more!
-
M365 CoPilot for information synthesis and script-writing (great when SMEs time is limited!)
-
Mindtickle AI for sales call scoring, AI role plays, and data collection
-
Storyline AI for adding narration, building basic course structure, quick changes
-
Vyond AI Avatars and video creation
